Fire a large grenade into the air (alternate fire for the Grenade Launcher) at almost vertical, allowing for the kickback supressor's slight alteration of the course of the grenade. Then once you know where it's going to land, quickly equip the Rocket Launcher and Rocket Jump as the grenade hits the ground for tremendous lift (and damage). This requires a few moment so of planning, so it is not ideal for instant jumps. It is good for when you need to get somewhere far away, and nobody is around to hurt you while you plan and do it.

SUPER-INSANE-ROCKET-BOOSTER!!

Execute a Grenade boosted Rocket Jump, and while in the air, execute a Rocket fly. Basically, you launch a heavy grenade into the air, use it to aid your rocket jump, then once in the air, fire and immediately detonate a rocket boost. This is insane and take a LOT of health and damage.

Rocket flying

For large open-air maps, you can double-rocket-jump, or Rocket-fly; a term coined by Nexuiz' 2D artist innovati. To execute the rocket fly, first rocket jump into the air, then, still aiming downward, fire another rocket and detonate (alternate fire) it right away. This additional boost will send you flying even higher and farther. The only caution is that this technique uses ~80 armor and ~30 health, so if you are not equipped with enough you will die. In NexDM15, try getting the armor and lots of health, then stand up on top of the room where the ammo is. There should be the electro between two ammo piles at the top of the large ramp. Stand direcly over the electro and execute this manouevre; you can get onto the platform under the large roof this way. Practice this as this is truly a unique strategy.

This technique is rather advanced, but with some practice you should be able to do it;)

Laser hopping

Similar to bunnyhopping, only you use the laser continually aiming downward to get a good speed. Each time you jump it takes 5 armour and some health away, so watch your equipment levels!

Rocket-faking

use this when you have somebody following you closely. Go to a lift with the Rocket Launcher equipped and let it boost you. In mid-air, fire and detonate the Rocket Launcher, sending you off-course. Then, if you are quick enough, you should be able to still hit your enemy before they land, or you can easily get a headstart if they decide to come back down and chase you.

Grenade Boosting

Fire a large grenade into the air (alternate fire for the Grenade Launcher) at almost vertical, allowing for the kickback supressor's slight alteration of the course of the grenade. Then once you know where it's going to land, quickly equip the Rocket Launcher and Rocket Jump as the grenade hits the ground for tremendous lift (and damage). This requires a few moment so of planning, so it is not ideal for instant jumps. It is good for when you need to get somewhere far away, and nobody is around to hurt you while you plan and do it.

Hagar Climbing

You can use the Hagar to climb up walls. This technique is almost similar to the Plasma Climbing in Quake 3 Arena. Step in front of a wall and aim at the joint of wall & floor. You have to place the crosshair a bit above the joint. Then jump and immediately shoot, hold the firebutton down and do not change the viewing direction. You're climbing! The amount of ammo and health needed to climb a wall depends on the height. For example: The climbing from the floor to the hagar on nexdm01 (which you can easily access via the jumppad) takes about 3 shots and 15-20 health. This technique is rather advanced, but with some practice you should be able to do it;)

Added lines 1-12:

Rocket Launcher

Use this formidable weapon when your foe is behind a barrier or other obstruction. Fire a rocket just past the hiding place, and alternate fire to detonate. Since the range on the detonator is limited, it is best to be within 30 feet of your enemy.

Laser jump

Aim down with the laser and fire at the ground as you jump. This will send you flying up above the head of your enemies.

Sniping

Equip the NexGun and press the middle mouse button. This should zoom in on your enemy for the close-up.

Rocket jumping

For when you need to get out of a sticky situatuon FAST. Laser jump but using the Rocket Launcher, this does a fair amount of damage though, so you might not want to do it too often.
